GINA'S TRUE BEAUTY TIPS 11. Don't rely on prescription topicals to clear up active acne. Your skin still needs a balanced routine that includes cleansing, light hydration and antioxidant protection. 12. Use more concealer and less foundation. An effective concealer should diminish imperfections like broken capillaries, blemishes and dark circles. Do this step 1st and you will need less foundation to even out the rest of your skin. 13. Replace your sunscreen every summer. Chemical sunscreens do have a shelf life and you should buy new products at least once a year so you know that you are protected. 14. Don't be intimidated by the beauty sales team at department stores. It is their job to sell, but they can be a wealth of knowledge. Tell them what you need and move on. 15. Try using a bronzer instead of blush. Brush a little on the apples of your cheeks, forehead, nose and chin for a natural glow. 16. Wash your face earlier in the evening instead of waiting until right before bed. You won't have the excuse that you were too tired to cleanse and your skin will feel refreshed for the entire night. 17. Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours. Even 'waterproof" formulas will wear off after an hour or two of activity. 18. When applying lip liner, fill in the entire lip- not just the border. This will help your lipstick and glosses last longer and won't look unnatural when the other products fade. 19. Don't expect to look fabulous too soon after a cosmetic surgical procedure. It takes time to heal and complications are always possible. Be cautiously optimistic. 20. Apply dark, sultry eyeshadows before your foundation and powder. You will avoid the speckles of color that can disturb your flawless canvas |
